Pungry’s Thirsty: Bundaberg Root Beer

Well gang, it’s been a while, but I finally have more ammunition for my root beer reviewing gun which big government can NOT take away from me thanks to the 2nd amendment. This time, it’s Bundaberg root beer. Let’s fire away!

It’s cold in the Berg

The way you open this root beer is by using the tab on the cap, pulling out with it, then pulling up. A novel new way to start the process of drinking. Not sure how open to this process people on their fourth or fifth root beer will be, though. Sometimes you just have to drink and not think. But, it fits with the theme. This is a thinking man’s root beer. Starts off with your typical sweet start of a normal root beer then fizzles out slightly by the end into a subtler flavor. The Bundesliga got this recipe right. I know it’s been forever since I’ve had much root beer, but I’m pretty sure this is the best one I’ve had in four months. The root beer where I’m writing this from tastes like tap water, so it’s a welcome change to have something from the Men Down Under that doesn’t make me go “Who Could it Be Now?” when drinking.
