Pungry’s Thirsty: Boylan Root Beer

This isn’t the first time I’ve reviewed a Boylan brew. A while back, I reviewed their birch beer (https://pungry.wordpress.com/2014/08/11/pungrys-thirsty-boylans-birch-beer/) which I thought was good but one-note. Let’s see how full-bodied their regular root beer is. If it uses the birch to good effect alongside the other two “spices” to make a well-rounded root beer, it should be good! Let’s keep hyping it up before I try it!

Huh, even though this is the root beer and not the birch, I can taste a lot of wintergreen from this root beer. Not bad, I would much rather have some flavor after the last root beer, but it doesn’t really taste like a real root beer. It’s a watered down birch, more like. Kind of a shame, but hey, that’s the way the root beers sometimes.

  1. See that tree over there…I fell off it last year and landed on my head. Maybe that’s why I’m a birch fan, so thanks for the review!
